Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)

Experience & Licensure Requirements

Scheduling & Work Conditions

• Floating within scope of practice to meet facility needs

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background Checks:

  • Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Must include SSN trace, state and national criminal checks, sex offender registry, FACIS 3, and international searches if applicable
  • Background check must be run within 90 days of start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education Verification: Required; diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if verification pending
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references required; at least one from the same unit
• Work History Verification: Last 3 clinical employers verified through third-party vendor
• Employment Application: Must include all PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps

Certifications & Licensure Verification

• Primary source verification of active, unencumbered SC RRT license required
• NURSYS verification as applicable
• Certifications must be current and not expiring within 30 days of start
• Radiation badge required for this role; must be obtained prior to starting patient care
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP certifications must be AHA or approved equivalent (e.g., RQI for ACLS)
• Additional certifications such as TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, EFM, IV Therapy (if applicable) may be required depending on unit

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, updated annually, confirming ability to work without restrictions
• Respirator medical clearance required annually (RespSafety clearance)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination form required
• Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start; if positive, additional documentation required
• Annual TB questionnaire completion required
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (Aug 1 - Apr 30) or medical/religious exemption; declinations not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; if declined, must complete vaccination declination form

Orientation & Facility Specific Requirements

• Completion of First Day Instructions (FDI) and OurDay modules prior to start (2-6 hours depending on campus)
• Clear, passport-style photo required for badge
• Completion of facility-specific forms including confidentiality, contractor forms, ID badge request, and job description acknowledgment prior to start
• Fit testing for respirators done onsite during orientation
• Physical assessment for sterile processors if applicable
