Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
Location: Newnan, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work with oncology patients in a fast-paced Nuclear Medicine and PET department.
- Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, rotating after hours and weekends.
- Patient population: Adults and geriatrics.
- Procedures include PET, General and Cardiac Nuclear Medicine.
- Treatments involve Y-90, Theragonstics, Lu-177 Pluvicto and Lutathera, I-131.
- Required equipment experience: Siemens.
- EPIC experience required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patients.
- Experience in inpatient and acute care settings.
- Proficient in performing Gastric Emptying, HIDA Scan, MUGA Scan, PET Scan, Bone Scan, and liver imaging.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Preferred certifications: ARRT (N), CNMT, NMTCB, PET.
Additional Requirements
- Must have a government-issued photo ID.
- Background checks including social security trace, nationwide sex offender, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification required.
- Physical exam within the last 12 months.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with follow-up if history positive)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer (vaccination series alone not acceptable)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer (history or declination not accepted)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including marijuana)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination or facility-specific declination; booster must be current formula

- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually.
