Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Job Details

  • Schedule: Every other weekend; block scheduling available
  • On-call: May be required once every 2 weeks (once every pay period)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Background Check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be completed before start
  • Education Verification and official transcript/diploma
  • Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry check required
  • Drug Screening: Negative 13 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start; onsite drug screen during orientation
  • Physical Exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Fit Mask Test (N95) within 1 year, updated annually
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 2 months of start; annual updates required
  • Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (vaccines or positive titers required; no declinations accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccination, exemption, or declination required for reporting (will not prevent start)
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination documentation required for new candidates starting 9/15 or later and working candidates by 12/4; no declinations allowed
  • References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Employment Application with 7-year work history
  • Performance Evaluation updated annually if previously worked at this facility
  • Skills Checklist and Competency Exams updated annually as applicable
  • Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgements (e.g., confidentiality, computer agreement, safety manual) must be completed
