Job Opportunity: Dietitian (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

• Setting: Bariatric Outpatient Clinic
• Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (5 shifts of 8 hours) OR
  • Tuesday to Friday (4 shifts of 10 hours)
• No nights, weekends, or holidays
• Average Daily Census: 30 patients
• Visits per Day: 25
• Patient Population: Adults
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Room Count: 6
• Special Procedures/Unit Details:

  • Surgery consults for Gastric Bypass, Sleeves, Band Removals
  • Bariatric surgeries plus gallbladder surgeries if patient is bariatric established
  • APRN manages medically managed weight loss program

Experience & Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travelers welcome)
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • RD or RDN (Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist)
• Licensing:

  • Pending license acceptable but must be in hand prior to start
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Dress Code: Casual business dress preferred
• Charting System: EPIC

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including national criminal, state, county, SSN trace, sex offender, FACIS Level 3
• Education verification (official transcript or diploma with graduation date)
• Missouri state-specific searches and license verifications
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or documented declinations:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Flu vaccine (seasonal, with strict compliance deadline)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Various competency exams and acknowledgements as applicable

• Locals within 50 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• No call responsibilities
