Job Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Tennessee
  • Telemetry (1 year of experience)
  • Telemetry experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date
  • Must be open to floating to MS/Tele, SD/PCU, and possibly ICU units depending on skills and need
  • 7 years of work history
  • 2 supervisory references
  • Unit-specific skills checklist completed within the last year
  • Color blind testing within 12 months prior to start
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
  • Competency exam
  • Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III competency exams
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 12 months of start

Preferred / Conditional Qualifications

  • NIHSS can be obtained after offer
  • ACLS is required to float to SD/ICU

Schedule Expectations

  • Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Current, color copy of driver’s license or state ID
  • Background check and SSN trace
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • TB questionnaire
  • Drug screening within 45 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption documentation, if applicable
  • MMR documentation
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunization or titer documentation
  • Passport-style photo for badge
  • Employment application with no unexplained gaps over 30 days
  • Onboarding attestation and job description acknowledgment

Additional Notes

  • Must be willing to float across multiple med-surg/telemetry and higher-acuity units as needed
  • Holiday time-off requests during listed holiday periods will not be accommodated
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are paid less than travelers
