Overview
- Travel/contract role in New Orleans, Louisiana
- 13-week assignment
- Night shifts, 7-on/7-off schedule
- 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays worked when they fall on the schedule
- Floating within the department required
- Call not required
- Scrubs: any color
Required Qualifications
- Valid Medical Lab Technician license in Louisiana
- Medical Lab Technician (3 years of experience)
- Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
Required Certifications
- LA License
Unit Details
- Blood Bank work including irradiation, splitting blood products, and plasma reduction on plateletpheresis
- Performs HPC processing and cryopreservation procedures
- Maintains inventory, preventive maintenance, quality control, and quality assurance
- Troubleshoots laboratory equipment as needed
- Maintains technical proficiency and competency in HPC procedures and other clinical areas of the laboratory
