Travel Registered Nurse — Transplant

Overview

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Weekly hours: 36
Contract options: 13 or 26 weeks
Floating: Must be prepared to float frequently within scope to meet facility needs

Unit Details

Adult medical-surgical/telemetry and progressive care transplant unit
Cares for pre- and post-liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestinal transplant patients, plus intestinal rehabilitation patients
Adolescent patients age 15+ may be on the unit but are cared for by core staff only
Typical nurse ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights; rare night ratio may be 1:7

Required Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS
ACLS
2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital
EPIC charting experience
Must have 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center if considered as a first-time traveler

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Requirements

Travelers are first to float
Drips required on all floors
Locals are not accepted; candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility
Pending license accepted; if not in hand at submission, start will be booked six weeks out
Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
Up to 2 weeks of requested time off permitted
100% nicotine-free facility
Scrubs required: Steele gray with logo
Parking available for a monthly permit or daily rate parking
