Travel Registered Nurse — Transplant
Overview
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekly hours: 36
- Contract options: 13 or 26 weeks
- Floating: Must be prepared to float frequently within scope to meet facility needs
Unit Details
- Adult medical-surgical/telemetry and progressive care transplant unit
- Cares for pre- and post-liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestinal transplant patients, plus intestinal rehabilitation patients
- Adolescent patients age 15+ may be on the unit but are cared for by core staff only
- Typical nurse ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights; rare night ratio may be 1:7
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital
- EPIC charting experience
- Must have 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center if considered as a first-time traveler
Preferred Qualifications
- NIH
- CPI
Additional Requirements
- Travelers are first to float
- Drips required on all floors
- Locals are not accepted; candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility
- Pending license accepted; if not in hand at submission, start will be booked six weeks out
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Up to 2 weeks of requested time off permitted
- 100% nicotine-free facility
- Scrubs required: Steele gray with logo
- Parking available for a monthly permit or daily rate parking
