Required Qualifications

• CVOR Technologist (1 year of experience)
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NBSTSA or NCCT

Clinical Experience

• Cardiac surgery cases: CABG, AVR, MVRR, TVRR, aortic aneurysm/dissection, total artificial heart, heart transplant, LVAD implantation, minimally invasive valve replacement, and transcatheter mitral/aortic/tricuspid valve replacement
• Vascular surgery cases: endovascular and open vascular procedures, including AAA, thoracic and thoracoabdominal aneurysm with fenestrated grafts, endarterectomy, bypass for peripheral artery disease, amputation, ECMO decannulation, and repositioning
• Required CVOR case experience includes: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, atrial septal defect repair, carotid endarterectomy, coronary artery bypass graft, endovascular aneurysm repair, endovascular aortic repair, femoral popliteal bypass graft, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, thoracic endovascular aortic repair, ventricular assist device, and ECMO

Schedule and Call

• Weekend requirement: up to 2 weekends per month
• On-call requirement: up to 2 weekends per month, up to 2 weekdays per week, and holiday call if needed
• RTO limit: no more than 5 days

Work Setting

• Short-term acute care facility
• Magnet, teaching, Level III trauma center
• 6 ORs total
