ICU Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in San Leandro, California
  • Winter coverage only: 11/2–2/27
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekends: every other
  • Float scope: med/surg tele as needed; PCU 1:3 and Tele 1:4
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Candidates should be available for 2 of the 3 major holidays
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be automatically approved outside blackout dates: Nov 22–Nov 30 and Dec 21–Jan 4
  • EEG in unit
  • Parking is paid by the traveler

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Experience with Epic
  • Experience with Impella
  • Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Experience with arterial lines
  • Experience with central line management
  • Blood administration
  • Medical, neuro, surgical, trauma, IV insulin protocols, GI Surgery, IV Therapy - PICC lines, medications

Preferred Qualifications

  • PALS
  • CCRN
  • CVICU experience
