Travel/Contract role in Pomona, California
Observation Unit
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Max 5 days RTO
No blocked scheduling

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Med Surg / Telemetry (3 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Notes

Current/valid driver’s license or state ID is required
Background check, education verification, and state/federal exclusion checks are required before start
Drug screen, physical, TB clearance, immunization documentation, fit mask, and flu/COVID-related health documentation are required before start
References and a completed skills checklist are required
Annual competency and medication/pharmacology competency exams are required

Pros

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.

Cons

DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
