Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Position Overview

  • Specialty: Respiratory Therapy - HOSP
  • Location: Chicago, Illinois
  • Facility: Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago
  • Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Description

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required.
  • Experience Required:
    • Minimum of 2+ years of RRT experience in Pediatric Critical Care (PICU/NICU/CCU).
    • Recent acute care Pediatric RRT experience within the current year.
  • Areas of Work: Must be able to work in at least 2 of the following areas: NICU, CCU, PICU, and acute care floors.

Requirements

  • Licensure: Must have an Illinois RRT License.
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) for NICU assignments.
  • Additional Considerations: First-time travelers may be considered if they meet the other requirements and demonstrate strong qualifications.

  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Dress Code: Scrubs (any color, kid-friendly)
  • Patient Care Ratio: Based on a points system.
  • Candidate Evaluation: Candidates will undergo a checklist evaluation during the interview process to assess their skill set.
