Job info

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel assignment in Iron River, Michigan
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Start: ASAP
  • Shift: Variable days/nights, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Guaranteed hours: 72 biweekly
  • Overtime after 80 hours worked in the second week
  • Weekend/holiday rotation: every other weekend/holiday
  • On-call/call-back: No

Required Qualifications

  • Current Michigan RN license
  • AHA BLS
  • Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience

Preferred

  • ACLS
  • ED experience
  • Candidates with both Medical-Surgical and ED experience are highly preferred
  • Ability to work across multiple departments

Float Scope

  • May float to the ED within competency

Unit Details

  • 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit
  • Typical patient ratios: 1:4–1:5 days, 1:6 nights
  • Primarily geriatric patients, including CHF, COPD, and diabetes

Additional Notes

  • Med-Surg-only candidates will be fully considered
  • Scrub color: any colored scrubs
