Registered Nurse Travel Position

Location: Berlin, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (5:30 PM - 6:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend: Every other weekend
Holidays: As needed

Job Description

• Work primarily in a 20-bed long-term care (LTC) unit and a 17-bed rehab unit
• Patient ratio approximately 1 RN to 17-20 patients; sometimes only 1 RN on duty from midnight to 3:30 PM
• Ability to float to a secondary facility 40 miles away, covering rehab and LTC patients
• Recent LTC experience required, including post-acute care
• Wound care experience and ability to follow MD orders
• Skills in PIV insertion and blood draws required
• Charting experience with Epic preferred; Pyxis experience highly preferred

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Associate degree in nursing or higher
• Recent LTC experience mandatory
• Strongly preferred prior travel experience

Orientation & Other Details

• Orientation lasts 5 days total: 1 day onboarding plus 4 shifts with a preceptor
• Any missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed)
• Local candidates are accepted

Additional Notes

• Billing week runs Sunday through Saturday
• 8 hours of orientation are unbillable
• Guaranteed hours apply except during holidays when the unit may be closed
