Respiratory Therapist Travel Position

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36 (flexibility with shifts may be needed)
Weekend/Holiday: Every 2nd or 3rd weekend; holiday rotation applies

Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapy care across all patient ages, with a focus on critical care and emergency settings.
• Willingness to train in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where the greatest need exists.
• Float to other units and facilities as needed, including Oconomowoc Memorial and Mukwonago.
• No on-call or call-back requirements.
• Charting experience with EPIC within the last 12 months is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience, including experience within the last year.
• Education: Associate Degree or Certificate in Respiratory Therapy.
• Experience in emergency and critical care settings.
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Orientation dates available: July 6 or July 20.
• Guaranteed hours per week except during holidays when the unit may be closed.
• Employee should only be asked to work within their clinical skills unless approved by management.
• Candidates should be resilient, adaptable to change, and socially engaging.
• Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
