Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour Night shifts (NOCs), every weekend, with holiday rotation
• Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except during holidays when unit is closed)
• Unit: 5 Med Unit, 53 beds
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:7-8
• Float Requirements: May float to other units and nearby facilities as needed (e.g., Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Mukwonago)
• On Call/Call Back: None

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Nurse license (WI or Compact license)
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years Medical-Surgical nursing experience (higher end of 3-5 years range)
  • Experience in short-term acute care hospital setting
  • Experience with insulin and cardiac drips
  • Must be able to read telemetry
  • Charting experience with EPIC within the last 12 months
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred to have completed at least 1 prior travel contract
