Registered Nurse – Geriatric/LTC

Location: Harmony, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour and 12-hour PM/NOC variable shifts (flexibility required)
Hours per Week: Minimum 36 hours, maximum 48 hours

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a 43-bed long-term care facility and clinic.
• Night shift staffing: 1 nurse and 2 CNAs.
• Day/Evening shifts: 1 Charge Nurse handles treatments, PRNs, and narcotics; 1 nurse or TMA passes all medications.
• Must be able to float to a secondary facility approximately 25 miles away as needed.
• Weekend and holiday rotation: every other weekend and holiday.
• No on-call or call-back requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in a Long Term Care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Information

• Orientation week is not guaranteed.
• Set hours per week are guaranteed except during holidays when the unit is closed.
• Medical compliance must be started within 48 hours of offer acceptance (24 hours for quick start).
• Billing cycle runs Monday through Sunday.
• Orientation includes 8 hours of unbillable time.
• Due to state regulations, pay rates are capped and inclusive of overtime and holiday hours.
