Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Cary, North Carolina

Job Details

• Specialty: Labor and Delivery
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday: Up to every other weekend; holiday rotation required
• Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to other Labor and Delivery departments within the hospital system if not needed at primary location
• Charting System: Epic strongly preferred

Required Qualifications

• License: North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS
  • AHA ACLS
  • AHA PALS
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • FHM-AWHONN (Fetal Heart Monitoring - Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Labor and Delivery nursing (highest required years of experience)
• Prior Travel Experience: Highly preferred (not explicitly required)
• Other Requirements:

  • Hard worker, resilient, manages change well
  • Social and team-oriented
  • COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless medically or religiously exempt
  • Flu vaccination required

Additional Information

• Scrub colors allowed: Red, Black, Gray (solid colors only; no designs unless working pediatric areas)
• T-shirts worn under scrubs must be solid red, black, gray, or white (no hoodies or fleece jackets; scrub jackets allowed)
• Contract may be canceled up to twice during the 13-week period due to low census
• No on-call or call-back requirements
