Clinical Lab Technologist

Location

  • Rochester, Minnesota

Contract

  • 27 weeks
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • May include off-shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend assignments

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Technologist experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Medical Technologist experience
  • A bachelor's degree in either chemistry or biological science is required
  • Sterile technique
  • Cell manipulation

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and assay systems
  • Previous sterile technique with cell manipulation

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to support diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments
  • Troubleshoot assays and evaluate test accuracy
  • Assist with interpreting results
  • Support operational activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities
  • Work with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results
  • Assist with specimen collection
  • Work on the PBMC bench
  • Use a biosafety cabinet and sterile technique to manually isolate white blood cells from patient blood
