Cardiac Sonographer Travel Job – California, Salinas

Job Summary

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures under supervision.
• Provide age-appropriate care to cardiology patients.
• Record and document procedure results accurately.
• Notify cardiology leadership immediately of life-threatening or questionable test results.
• Participate actively in Continuous Quality Improvement and performance improvement programs.
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on cardiology equipment.
• Use and support advanced cardiac ultrasound technologies including 3D/4D imaging and PACS/CVIS systems.
• Assist with accreditation processes and special projects as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and hospital staff.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Variable 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer within the last year.
• Experience as a Breast Sonographer.
• Experience with Epic system.

Education

• High school diploma or GED, or completion of an ultrasound training program.

Certifications & Licensure

• ARDMS or CCI registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Skills

• Knowledge of ultrasound equipment.
• Fine motor skills.
• Precise hand/eye coordination.
