Job Opportunity: Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Eden, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform designated duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse while maintaining the LPN scope of practice.
• Participate in developing individualized interdisciplinary plans of care.
• Implement care plans according to biophysical, psycho-social, and age-specific needs.
• Monitor patient/resident outcomes and report abnormal findings to the supervisor.
• Administer specified medications according to established standards and policies.
• Document patient status following unit-specific procedures and federal/state regulations.
• Maintain educational requirements as mandated by the Board of Nursing.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the LPN scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduation from a state-accredited practical nurse education program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience

• No prior experience required.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
