Job Opportunity: Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT - Pediatrics (Full Scope)

Contract Length: 13 weeks (89 days ≈ 13 weeks)

Job Description

Provide respiratory therapy services under general supervision for all appropriate pediatric age levels and areas served by the department.

Essential Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff
• Record treatment information and patient responses in electronic medical records
• Serve as a resource to medical staff
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
• Provide age-appropriate care to patients
• Ensure respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained
• Maintain respiratory therapy records
• Participate as a member of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

General Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements

• Years of Specialty Experience: None required; however, 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting is preferred
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required
• Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, techniques, and equipment operation/repair
  • Clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac care across pediatric age groups
  • Ability to interpret patient information to identify needs
  • Ability to work under stress
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills
