Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care with a focus on quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff and applies evidence-based practice within a Practice Governance framework. Responsibilities include assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, focusing on patient comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN also mentors and precepts staff.

Key Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to policy or patient condition.
Develop, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during the stay and at discharge.
Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as mentor/preceptor.
Promote teamwork and communicate opportunities for improvement.
Participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory standards.
Engage in Practice Governance activities.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience.

Education Requirements

Nursing Diploma OR Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN).

Required Certifications & Licensure

Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
