RN Surgery

Overview

• Location: National City, California
• Employment type: LTA
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 06:30 - 15:00
• Schedule: On call varies; typically 16 hours Monday–Friday except holidays, and 24 hours on Saturdays and Sundays

Role Summary

• RN Surgery role with independent work expected after department orientation
• Covers general surgery, neuro, spine, ortho, urology, eyes, and dental
• On-site training provided for eyes and dental
• Electronic documentation knowledge is needed
• Meditech is the EMR and training will be provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• Neurosurgery experience
• Orthopedic Surgery experience
• Urology experience
• NIHSS
• DCI/BVP
• Driver's License

Preferred

• CAORN certification preferred

Onboarding Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine or declination, with booster required
• MMR immunity or vaccination
• Annual respirator fit test
• Hepatitis B immunity, vaccination, or declination
• Influenza vaccine or declination
• TB test within 1 year of start date
