Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Technician

Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: Day shift with 2-3 days per week on-call
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Required Credentials and Certifications

  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • Professional License/Certificate Verification (Primary source verification within 30 days of start)
  • Prime Education Verification
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination
  • MMR Vaccination: Proof of 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B Vaccination: Required, no declinations accepted
  • Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31), no declinations accepted
  • TB Test: Within one year of start date
  • Driver's License, State ID, or Passport
  • Varicella Vaccination: Proof of 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer
  • Tdap Vaccination: Required, no declinations accepted
  • Physical/Health Statement: Must be completed within 60 days of start and state clear to work
  • Prime OIG Check
  • Prime Criminal Background Check: National check within one year of start date
  • Prime Agency Attestation
  • Prime SAM/EPLS Check (Excluded Individual search)
  • Prime Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification)
  • Prime Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC, within 60 days of start
  • Prime Core Competencies Exam: Must score 80% or higher
  • Prime Specialty Exam: Must score 80% or higher
  • Prime Skills Checklist
  • Prime Color-blind Test: Annual requirement
  • Prime Orientation Packet: Includes "Essentials" form and post-test
  • Prime Job Description: Signed by employee

Optional Credentials

  • Fit Test: Annual respirator fit test (may be required prior to start depending on location)
  • Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if PPD test is positive
  • Prime Badge Photo: Clear JPEG headshot (may be requested for onboarding)
  • Prime COA (Certificate of Authenticity)
  • Name Verification Affidavit: Notarized affidavit for any name discrepancies between credentials

Additional Notes

  • Background checks and drug screenings must comply with state-specific requirements.
  • All credentials must be current and uploaded as required for onboarding.
  • Declinations for vaccines such as Hepatitis B, Influenza, and Tdap are not accepted.
  • Physical and health statements must confirm the candidate is clear to work.
  • On-call days require availability beyond regular day shift hours.

This position is suitable for Nuclear Medicine Technicians who meet the above credentialing and health requirements and are available for a 12-week long-term assignment with day shifts and on-call duties.
