Job Opportunity: RN Critical Care

Job Description

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in the ICU.
• Guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care.
• Responsible and accountable for assigned patients' care.
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Current and valid California RN License.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital critical care.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred but not required.
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred.

Required Credentials and Compliance

• Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years).
• COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or completed declination.
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer.
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination or declination accepted.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required or declination accepted (seasonal).
• TB Test: Within 1 year of start date.
• Varicella: Vaccination or titer showing immunity.
• Tdap: Vaccination or declination accepted.
• Physical/Health Statement: Annual clearance to work required.
• Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
• Annual Respirator Fit Test (optional but recommended).
• National Criminal Background Check within 1 year of start date.
• Drug Screening: Minimum 10-panel test including THC saliva test (specific to California).
• Prime Core Competencies Exam: Must score 80% or higher (attestation accepted).
• Prime Skills Checklist.
• Prime Color-blind Test: Annual completion required.
• Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) or agency attestation.
• Signed Job Description.
• Workplace Violence Prevention Training (DCI/BVP).

Experience Requirements

• Specialty Experience: Minimum 1 year as a staff RN in acute care critical care.
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required.
