Location: Redding, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)
Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room.
- May be required to float to other departments as needed, no exceptions.
Required Qualifications
Licensure and Education
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience.
- ED experience within the last year is required.
Certifications (Must be current and valid)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention).
Exams and Training
- Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam.
- Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening.
- Prime Core Competencies Exam.
- Prime Specialty Exam.
- Prime Skills Checklist.
- Prime OIG.
- Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
Testing and Exams (Must score 80% or higher)
- Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam.
- Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening.
- Prime Core Competencies Exam.
- Prime Specialty Exam.
- Prime Skills Checklist (does not expire on assignment).
Health and Immunizations
- COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 doses plus booster or documented declination.
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31); declinations not accepted.
- Hepatitis B: Complete series or immune titer; declinations not accepted.
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer.
- Varicella: Proof of vaccination or immunity.
- Tdap: Adult vaccination required; declinations not accepted.
- TB Test: Within 1 year of start date.
- Physical/Health Statement: Annual clearance to work required.
Drug Screening
- Minimum 10-panel drug screen including THC saliva test (California-specific requirements).
Background and Verification
- National criminal background check within one year of start.
- Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion check.
- Education verification (diploma or transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable).
- Resume and two professional references (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor).
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation).
Additional Professional Requirements
- Prime CA Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (valid for 2 years).
- Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport.
- Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials are uploaded).
- Prime Badge Photo (clear headshot, JPEG format).
- Name Verification Affidavit (optional, if name discrepancies exist).

- All credentials and requirements must be completed and verified prior to onboarding.
- Annual respirator fit test required.
