Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Setting: Inpatient Hold Unit (preference for ability to take Emergency Department patients as well)

Job Description

Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit with inpatient hold patient ratios and acuity.
May be required to manage Emergency Department patients.

Required Qualifications

Licensure

Valid RN license in Connecticut.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience.
Med Surg / Telemetry experience must be within the last year.

Certifications (must be current and American Heart Association approved)

Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
