Job Description

• Minimum 2+ years of current TELE/PCU/Stepdown nursing experience required.
• Patient ratios typically 1:5 or 1:6, may fluctuate with census and call-ins.
• Work schedule: 36/48 hours per pay period (no block scheduling).
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly.
• Must have a West Virginia or compact nursing license.
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
• Start date on job is the start date needed.
• Candidates must reside within 100 miles of the facility to be considered.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH Certification (required for RN specialties except OR and Psych)
• Valid nursing license (WV or compact license)
• Nursys verification within 30 days of start

Required Immunizations & Health Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine (proof of completed series; religious and medical exemptions accepted with documentation)
• MMR (2 vaccinations or positive titer required prior to start)
• Hepatitis B (proof of 3 vaccine series or declination accepted)
• Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive titer required prior to start)
• Tdap (valid within 10 years; declinations accepted)
• Influenza Vaccine (seasonal, October-March; exemptions require approval)
• TB Quantiferon Blood Test (within 1 year prior to start)
• Annual physical or health statement signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP confirming clearance to work without restrictions

Background & Screening Requirements

• ARH 2020 Background Check (including 7-year county, nationwide criminal, SSN trace, sex offender, SAM, OIG checks) within 30 days prior to start; annual updates required.
• Drug Screen (ARH 20/20 panel) within 30 days prior to start; annual updates required.
• ARH West Virginia APS/CPS Check (completed and mailed prior to start; 2-4 week turnaround)
• Social Security Trace, EPLS, OFAC, National Sex Offender, and OIG searches as part of background checks or extensions.
• Education and Employment Verifications (7 years of relevant experience required for employment verification)
• Two professional references required (one charge or higher, one supervisor reference within the last year)

Competency & Skills Verification

• ARH Skills Checklist (unit-specific, within 1 year prior to start)
• ARH Competency Exam (unit-specific, within 1 year prior to start)
• ARH EKG Exam and Telemetry Exam (unit-specific, within 1 year prior to start)
• ARH Core Competencies (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; annual update required)
