Travel RN ICU Position - Hazard, Kentucky

Job Details

• Specialty: RN ICU (Intensive Care Unit)

• Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years ICU/MICU experience

• License Requirements: Must have Kentucky or compact nursing license
• Residency Requirement: RN must reside within 100 miles of the facility
• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• Start Date: Immediate (start date needed on job)
• Contract Length: 12 weeks

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association card, front and back if not electronic)
• ACLS (American Heart Association card, front and back if not electronic)
• NIH Certification (required for RN specialties except OR)
• Kentucky or compact nursing license (valid for KY ARH facilities)

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years ICU experience depending on specialty (2+ years preferred for this role)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine (proof of completed series; religious and medical exemptions accepted with documentation and approval)
• MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer; if low/equivocal, proof of first dose to start, second dose within 28-30 days)
• Hepatitis B (proof of 3 vaccine series or declination accepted)
• Varicella (proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer; if low/equivocal, proof of first dose to start, second dose within 28-30 days)
• Tdap (valid 10 years from administration; Td not accepted; declinations accepted)
• Influenza Vaccine (required October-March; exemptions require approval)
• TB Quantiferon Blood Test (within one year prior to start)
• Annual Physical or Health Statement (signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP within 1 year prior to start; must state clear to work, free of restrictions)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• ARH 20/20 Background Check (within 30 days prior to start; includes criminal, SSN trace, sex offender, SAM, OIG checks)
• ARH 20/20 Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start; excludes marijuana/THC)
• ARH Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry verification (within 30 days prior to start)
• ARH Submission Packet (includes required documents for submission)
• ARH Assignment Confirmation (must be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance)
• ARH Job Description (signed and dated specialty job description)
• ARH 2 Professional References (2 references required; 1 charge or higher, 1 supervisor)
• Education and Employment Verifications (within 5 years)
• Other professional verifications as applicable (OIG, EPLS, OFAC, SAM, National Sex Offender Registry)

Skills & Competency Requirements

• ARH Skills Checklist (unit specific, within 1 year prior to start, renewed annually)
• ARH Competency Exam (copies of exams with passing score of 80% or higher, within 1 year)
• ARH EKG Exam, Telemetry Exam (copies of exams with passing score of 80% or higher, within 1 year)
• ARH Core Competencies (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; renewed annually)

This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs licensed in Kentucky or holding a compact license, who are ready for a travel assignment with a 1:2 patient ratio and a 36/48 schedule.
