Job Opportunity: Ultrasonographer

Location: Monroe, Louisiana
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical physiological, pathological, and anatomical data.
• Produce ultrasound images to assist in medical diagnosis.
• Monitor and ensure safety of patients and staff during procedures.
• Conduct patient screening following established protocols.
• Operate ultrasound equipment safely according to departmental policies.
• Provide complete pre- and post-procedure education to patients and their families.
• Evaluate competency levels of others as a preceptor.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• ARDMS Certification
• American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography Registry
• Specialty Registry relevant to the position

Required Personal Health & Safety Credentials

• COVID-19 Vaccine (proof or exemption accepted)
• MMR Immunization (proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement)
• Fit Test (N95 mask fit within 1 year, updated annually)
• Hepatitis B Immunization (proof of 3 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signatures)
• Influenza Vaccine (required during flu season; medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
• TB Test (negative QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year or 2-step skin test; if positive, must provide clearance or treatment proof)
• Health Statement (signed within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions)
• Varicella Immunization (proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement)
• Tdap Immunization (proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination with signatures)
• Annual TB Questionnaire (completed within 6 months prior to start)
• Drug Screen (negative 10-panel within 30 days prior to start)
• Eye Exam & Color Vision Test (Ishihara Color Test and Snellen Vision test within 1 year prior to start)

• Criminal Background Check (including county, national, and specific federal checks) within 30 days prior to start
• Skills Checklist (unit-specific, updated annually within 1 year prior to start)
• Competency Exam (passing score of 80% or higher within 1 year prior to start)
• Core Competencies Training (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse, Age-Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; renewed annually)
• Badge Photo (forward-facing, well-lit, neutral background, JPEG format)
• Contract Annual Education Packet completion
