Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care of patients.
• Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
• Delivering quality nursing services and overseeing the care provided by others under their direction.
• Utilizing specialized knowledge and nursing skills to assess data and provide appropriate care based on the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Requirements

• Experience:

  • 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience (required).
  • Pediatric experience (required).
• Licensure: Active RN license.
• Certifications: Must be active at the time of submission.
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Required; declinations not accepted.
• Documentation Needed:

  • GBMC cover page.
  • Resume.
  • 2 supervisory references (1 from within the last 6 months and 1 from the last 12 months).
  • Skills checklist.

Additional Information

• Candidates may request time off equivalent to one week of contracted hours.
• Orientation for RNs and CNAs is held every other week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
• The facility has 257 licensed beds and handles over 23,000 admissions and 52,000 emergency room visits annually.
• GBMC HealthCare combines community and university-level medicine, with multiple primary care practices throughout the community.
