Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Temp, Long Term Care (LTC)

Job Description

• Assist physical therapists in treating patients of all ages, from newborns to end-of-life care.
• Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups.
• Follow instructions from the physical therapist and collaborate closely with them.
• Communicate with patients' families to recommend effective at-home techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the physical therapy area.
• Assist patients in moving from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area.
• Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork.
• Teach patients techniques including balance training.

Requirements

• Specialty: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of PTA experience (highest required)
• Setting Experience: Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
• Licensure: Active PTA license required (must have an active OH or compact license at time of submission)
• Certifications: Must have active certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) at the time of start

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
