Job Opportunity: Interim Nurse Manager - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty
- Leadership in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
- Level III NICU experience required
Required Experience
- Previous Interim Leadership experience: at least 1 completed assignment, ideally 2
- NICU experience in a Level III or IV setting
- EPIC EMR experience
- Experience mentoring leaders
- Ability to lead and demonstrate resiliency through departmental change
Additional Requirements
- Limited time off before late April to meet department coverage needs
- Travel home allowed but must be less frequent than every weekend
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must provide work history/resume, skills checklist (completed within 1 year), license verification, required certifications, and at least 1 supervisory reference at time of submission
Department Information
- 42 beds, Level III NICU
- Patient population: neonates from >22 weeks to ~46 weeks
- Approximately 5200 deliveries last year
- Drips administered include epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine
Note: This is an interim leadership role with potential for permanent placement. The nursing workforce is unionized.
