Registered Nurse — Medical Surgical

Overview

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Specialty focus: Neuro unit with general medicine patients

Schedule

Night shift
4x12-hour shifts
36 or 48 hours accepted
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Travelers float first

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

NIH certification
Neuro experience
Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Local candidates are accepted
RTO after booking is not allowed
Navy blue scrubs required; not provided
Orientation is 24 hours
Candidate may be assigned to storm or hurricane response duties
Candidate may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
