Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Dededo, Guam
• 13-week assignment
• Acute care facility with adult trauma level II designation
• 132 staffed beds

Schedule

• 3x12-hour shifts
• Night or day shift; no shift preference can be requested
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• Block scheduling is TBD by unit needs
• Overtime is not guaranteed

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of RN experience in the emergency department
• Current Compact or Guam RN license in hand at time of submittal
• Current US passport in hand
• Passport required for this assignment
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIH Stroke Scale training/certificate
• Conscious sedation training
• Advanced NRP
• PALS
• Must pass onsite drug calculations and BKAT testing during orientation
• Must complete onsite pass/fail testing for EKG/medication competency as applicable
• Must complete required RN modules before the compliance deadline
• Must complete pressure injury training and checklist requirements before start
• Must complete Alaris IV Pumps training before the compliance deadline
• Must complete Pyxis CareFusion training before the compliance deadline

Additional Requirements

• RTO is limited to no more than 3 consecutive days and no more than 7 days total in the 13-week contract
• Local candidates residing in Guam are not accepted
• Flights are not reimbursed
• Travelers should not book return flights until the contract is complete
• Travelers should be prepared to pick up additional shifts based on census
• Candidates must be flexible to support facility needs
• Candidates must arrive by the Thursday before start at the latest

Compliance / Pre-Start Items

• Background check required before start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit test within 1 year prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Work history verification for the last 10 years
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Emergency contact form required prior to start

Facility Notes

• Parking is free
• Cath Lab/OR/PACU scrubs are provided
• All other areas: any solid color is acceptable; navy blue preferred
• Charting system: Allscripts/Sunrise
