Neonatal Intensive Care Unit RN

Overview

• Location: Seattle, Washington

• Shift: Day, 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• Hours per week: 48
• Contract length: 26 weeks
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Unit: 54-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit serving as a regional referral center for high-risk infants

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Washington
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (3 years of experience)
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience in a Teaching Hospital setting
• Experience with Epic
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure

Schedule / Work Expectations

• 2 weekend shifts per month, scheduled variably as needed
• Must be flexible to unit needs and may need to pick up additional shifts occasionally
• No call
• No block schedule accommodation unless otherwise stated

Floating

• May float within the hospital to Mother Baby to care for babies only
• Does not float to sister hospitals

Additional Notes

• Locals accepted
• RTO limit: 1 week max
• New state-of-the-art unit
• Majority of patients are very low birth weight premature infants requiring ventilatory support
