CVICU Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Dayton, Ohio
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
13-week contract option
36- or 48-hour shifts available
Target patient ratio: 1:2
Must work at least every other holiday and every other weekend
First-time travelers are accepted
Travel experience is preferred
Ohio license does not need to be in hand at signing

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
CVICU (1 year of experience)
CVICU experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Experience with Impella devices
Experience with post-cardiac surgery patients not directly from the OR
Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization and intervention
Experience with pulmonary artery line and Swan Ganz monitoring
Experience with thermodilution PA catheter monitoring
Experience with A-lines
Experience with mechanical ventilators
Experience with sheaths
Experience with dialysis
Ability to draw and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
Experience with Epic

Unit Details

CVICU with tele, drips, and vents
36-bed unit
Navy blue scrubs

Additional Notes

Level 1 trauma experience is preferred
Traveler is first to float at facility discretion
May float to other campuses within the system
RTO must be requested with initial submission and is subject to manager approval
