Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Job Details
- Mixed acuity unit caring for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical (MS) patients
- 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, or combination) based on department needs
- Shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks; changes not guaranteed
- Patient ratio approximately 1:5
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- First week orientation: Monday to Friday, dayshift
- Second week orientation: 36 hours on-unit with a preceptor
- Self-scheduling of shift preferences prior to final schedule posting
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
