Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Therapist (RRT)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
• 2 years of experience required in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics specialty
• First-time travelers accepted
• EPIC experience required
• Work schedule: 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holidays
• NICU experience preferred

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and/or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
• Louisiana State Respiratory License

Preferred Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with background checks including social security trace, sex offender, federal checks, and others as required
• Drug screening within 30 days of start date
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 3 months)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination
• Competency exams and annual updates required (medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, core competencies)
• Appearance policy adherence (blue scrubs required)

Requirements

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with Epic system

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• Candidates must provide 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days
• Candidates must have government-issued photo ID matching all documentation
