Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Overview

• Unit: 42-bed medical-surgical unit with mostly post-surgical patients
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Patient Types: Orthopedics, Urology, Colorectal, Bariatrics, Neurology, General Surgery
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Systems Used: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
• Schedule: 36 or 48 hour shifts guaranteed
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
• Holiday Work: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical Registered Nurse experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience caring for adults to geriatrics patient population
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• Floating within the facility as needed
• Must comply fully with all onboarding and compliance requirements to start on time
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Orientation hours vary by contract length
• Return to Office blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4-12)

Prior Travel Experience
