Job Description
- Work at a cancer treatment center specializing in ambulatory infusion.
- Patient diagnoses include MS, GI, Neurology, and Transplant cases.
- May also involve obstetric care.
- Shift options: 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 hour shifts during the day.
- Floating between clinics may be required.
- No weekend or holiday shifts.
- No on-call requirements.
- Emergency treatment experience for reactions, iron infusions, drugs related to MS/GI/Neuro/Transplant, and fluids administration required.
- Tysabri administration experience preferred; REMS training will be provided if needed.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state.
- Minimum of 2 years of infusion nursing experience, with infusion experience within the last year.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Licensure
- Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Washington state.
Work Environment & Additional Requirements
- Floating between clinics within the facility may be necessary.
- No weekend or holiday work required.
- No call duties.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Education verification required (nursing degree).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination accepted.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
- COVID vaccine or declination.
- Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually.
Competency & Training Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
- Specialty-specific competency exams and training modules may be required.
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via WorkRamp platform.
- Epic system training modules may be required depending on assignment location.
References & Employment History
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years required.
Floating Policy
- Acknowledgement required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance.
