Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: West Hollywood, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday – Friday with Saturday rotation
- Hours: Approximately 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (may vary depending on department needs)
- Daily Caseload: Approximately 150 patients
- Floating: Yes, will float to different departments within the main campus as needed
- On Call: Not required
- First Time Travelers: Accepted
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty
Required Licenses and Certifications
- California Mammography Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT (R) required; ARRT (M) preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
Required Qualifications and Compliance
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions
- Fit mask test (N95 or approved respirators) within 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with additional requirements if history of positive TB)
- Drug screening within 1 year (specific drug panel required, excludes Marijuana/THC)
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B vaccine series, titer, or declination
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer or proof of disease history)
- Background check including 7-year criminal history and education verification
- Professional references: 2 required, at least 1 supervisory
Additional Requirements
- Must complete competency exams and pass/fail testing as required by the facility
- Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style photo)
- Acknowledgement and signing of facility-specific policies including:
- Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy
- Job Hazard Analysis and Safe Work Practices
- Social Media Policy
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for new candidates
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Floating to other departments within the main campus is expected
- Onsite orientation and training will be provided, including fire safety course if applicable
This position offers a dynamic work environment with a high patient volume and opportunities to work across multiple departments within a major medical center.
