Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Weekends/Holidays: Not required
- Floating: No floating between units

- Must have CIC (Certification in Infection Control) from CBIC
- Acute care hospital experience required across multiple service lines including Surgery, NICU, Cardiac, Critical Care, and Emergency Room
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care / Level II Trauma Center / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Beds: 629 staffed beds
- Teaching Hospital: Yes
- Charting System: Epic
- Parking: No fee
Required Certifications
- CIC (CBIC certification in infection control) - mandatory
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- Chemotherapy certification (if applicable)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification (if applicable)
- IV Certification (LVN/LPN/Other) (if applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) (if applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (every 2 years)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) (if applicable)
- State License (RN) and NURSYS Verification
- Other certifications as required by clinical track or unit
Required Background Checks & Verifications
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification (3rd party) for nursing degree or related education
- State-specific searches (Washington WATCH/WSP, OBRA Registry for CNAs if applicable)
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty within last 3 years
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
- Skills Checklist: Required annually for applicable units
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit Mask test (N95 or equivalent) required for travel starts after 2/5/2024, updated annually
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series or signed declination (special rules for Alaska placements)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Flu Vaccine during flu season (9/1–3/30) or declination form
- COVID Vaccine or declination required (not required for remote non-clinical)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety) for respirator use, medically cleared annually
Facility & System Requirements
- Badge photo (passport style with neutral background) required
- Completion of Providence WorkRamp training modules prior to start, including:
- Core modules for profession and region
- Specialty-specific modules if applicable (ER, L&D, Leadership roles)
- Annual regulatory modules
- Epic training modules required for Spokane candidates, to be completed within a week of orientation
- Floating Policy Acknowledgement: Candidate may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance

- No 48-hour shifts approved
- No weekend or holiday work required
- No block schedules required
- Parking is free at the facility
- This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week duration
