Job Description

• Work setting includes Inpatient and Outpatient, ICU, and ER experience
• Role: EEG Tech

Shift Details

• Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours each
• Shift times: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• On-call from end of shift until 8:00 PM Monday through Friday
• On-call coverage 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Saturday and Sunday

Certifications & Licenses Required

• R.EEGT. (Registered EEG Technologist)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• State License - Copy of professional license required
• Tech Certification Verification - National certification required within 30 days of start
• Other certifications may be position-dependent; verify with recruiter or manager

Background Checks & Compliance

• 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, FACIS Level 3, Sex Offender Search, OFAC Sanctions List, and other federal/state screenings required and must be updated annually as applicable
• Education verification required (not required if highest education is high school)
• Transcript/Diploma verification as applicable
• Pending background check attestation not accepted for this facility

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must clear candidate for work)
• Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types accepted)
• Immunizations required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella - proof of immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B series or signed declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids per CA law)

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency exams relevant to profession may be required (e.g., Dysrhythmia/EKG)
