Job Summary
Seeking an Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech with experience in IR/Angio special procedures. First-time travelers are accepted. Day shift with rotating days off. Weekend and on-call requirements not specified. No floating to sister facilities.
Requirements
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Virginia State License (Permanent, not temporary)
- ARRT Certification
- BLS (AHA provider card required)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and other certifications as applicable based on unit/job description
- Primary source verification required for licenses and certifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in Radiology/Cardiology (IR Tech)
- PACS, Biopsies, and Contrast skills required
- Experience with IR/Angio special procedures including:
- Stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms
- Paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrogram, kyphoplasty
- Peripheral procedures, drainages, abdominal & pelvis, upper/lower extremities
- Genitourinary and vascular studies, venous access, LP myelogram
- Equipment experience: Siemens preferred

Work Details
- Shift: 07:00-17:30 or 07:30-18:00 (day off will rotate)
- Daily caseload: Approximately 25 patients
- Locals accepted
- Floating within scope not required
- Block scheduling at manager’s discretion
Required Documentation & Compliance
Background Checks
- Lifetime background check within 1 year prior to start (includes SSN trace, criminal searches, education verification, DMV records if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
Health & Immunizations
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Fit mask (N95) testing and documentation required annually (except sterile processing and non-clinical supply chain techs)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 5 years; annual TB questionnaire if history positive
- Immunity or vaccination for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (with options for boosters or declinations)
- Drug testing within 30 days prior to start (includes a comprehensive panel)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID vaccination documentation required or declination on file
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific orientation packets, confidentiality agreements, code of conduct acknowledgment, and Epic experience screening form
- Completion of WorkRamp modules within one week of signing (approx. 8 hours) for nursing, cath lab, and surgical techs (not required for RRTs)
- Job description acknowledgment form must be completed
References & History
- Two professional references required (one current year, one within last 2 years) from supervisors or equivalent
- Employment application and work history verification for 2 years required (10 years if only CRT license)
- Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates
