- Schedule: 4x12 hour shifts
- Start Date: ASAP
- Patient Ratios: Average 1:6
- Experience Required: Preferred 2 years; will accept 1.5 years from a similar hospital
- First-timers: Not accepted
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 12 months of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Education verification including foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS license verification within 30 days of start
- Employment application with 7-year work history, no gaps over 90 days
- Work history verification for last 7 years (attestations not accepted)
- Skills checklist within 12 months of start
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure if applicable to certain units
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (85% passing score required)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates starting 8/2/2024, 80% passing score)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Telemetry, MS/Tele, ER, all ICU units)

- Ventricular Assist Device Awareness (except certain hospitals)
- AME Blood Administration Module (except Case Managers, Behavioral Health/Psych, Home Health)
- New Employee Orientation Module
- 21st Century Cures Act Module (required for RN except Home Health)
- ED Handbook (for ED/ER RNs only)
- eCart Training Module (not required for Pediatric, Periop/OR, Outpatient, Case Managers, Home Health)
- Chaperone Policy Training (required if gap >6 months or updated module)
- EPIC Testing or Training (highly encouraged for those with Epic experience)
- Vaccination Booster Medical Exemption (if applicable)
Health Requirements
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start
- Fit Mask Test within 12 months, updated annually (3M N95 preferred)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination preferred for Pediatric, Labor & Delivery, Postpartum (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray documentation (various acceptable tests)
- TB Questionnaire updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination with boosters as needed
- Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination/declination within 1 year
- Varicella immunity or vaccination with boosters as needed
- 10 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
- COVID vaccination series preferred
This position is ideal for experienced ED RNs who meet the certification and compliance requirements and are comfortable with a travel contract role in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
