Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Pediatric experience highly preferred
  • Must be able to scan Holter Monitors
  • Accepts first-time travelers with more than 1 year of experience

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required
  • Prior travel experience not required (accepts first-time travelers)

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CCI CRAT or CCI CCT
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - as applicable
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - as applicable
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - as applicable
  • Tech Cert Verification (must be current within 30 days of start)
  • State License Verification (must be current within 30 days of start)
  • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) (must be current within 30 days of start)

Competencies

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% or higher required for NICU RNs)
  • Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
  • Unit Competency Exam

Background and Screening Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
  • Education verification (transcript or diploma acceptable)
  • State-specific search: Nebraska DHHS Adult & Child Services Registry (within 30 days of start)

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months prior to start (by MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN)
  • Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (specific mask types required)
  • Tdap vaccine required
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months prior to start (annual updates required)
  • TB questionnaire if past positive TB result (within 6 weeks of start)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; exemptions allowed for medical or religious reasons with proper documentation
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or proof of vaccine series required; no declinations allowed; exemptions allowed with documentation
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of disease; exemptions allowed with documentation
  • Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC within 12 months prior to start; valid for assignment duration
  • Seasonal flu vaccine required for all new starts beginning 10/1/2025, or approved exemption (religious, medical, or declination) on file by 11/30/2025

Additional Requirements

  • 2 professional references within 2 years of start
  • Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
  • Completion of facility-specific forms and compliance documents prior to start date
