Job Details

  • Shift: 3x12 hour night/mid shifts
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
  • Prior Travel Experience: Required (explicitly stated)
  • Licensure: Must be licensed to work in Kansas
  • Certifications Required:
    • ACLS (AHA only, RQI not accepted)
    • BLS (AHA only, HeartCode accepted, RQI not accepted)
    • PALS (AHA only, required for all RNs except Case Managers)
    • NRP (AHA 8th Edition Advanced Certification, as required)
    • TNCC (required for all ER/Peds ER)
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Government issued photo ID carried during hours of service
    • Background check within 3 months of start, including county and statewide searches for Missouri and Kansas
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated every 6 months
    • State-specific searches including Missouri EDL and Highway Patrol checks
    • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
    • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) with 100% required for RNs
    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (pediatric focus)
    • Color Blind Testing (required for all clinical candidates)
    • Competency Exams specific to pediatric care
    • Physical exam and health documents including immunizations and TB testing
    • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually
    • References: 2 supervisory references or performance evaluations within 1 year of start
    • Skills checklist for pediatric competencies as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam updated annually
  • Tdap vaccination within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray as per facility policy
  • Proof of vaccinations or titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (3 vaccines, titer, or declination)
    • Varicella
  • Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
  • Flu vaccine for current season or medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
