Required Qualifications
- Education: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- Licensure: Current and active California RN license
- Certifications: AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Pediatric experience required
- Recent experience in case management, utilization management, and discharge planning
- Minimum of 3 years acute hospital experience or equivalent education and experience
- Strong leadership abilities and patient care management experience in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
Work Schedule
- Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Some holidays and weekends may be required
- Business casual dress (no scrubs required)
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years acute hospital experience (highest requirement found)
- Pediatric experience required

Required Documentation & Compliance
- Current and valid Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID
- Background checks including Social Security Trace, 7-year criminal history, sex offender search, FACIS level 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG (all within 30 days of start)
- Education verification (diploma or official transcripts)
- NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
- Various competency exams (medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, general competency exams)
- Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, abuse reporting, HIPAA training, annual education modules, and online training modules
- Physical exam within one year of start, updated annually
- Fit mask testing (specific mask models required, annual expiration for Aya candidates)
- Immunizations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (QGold test required), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (with specific requirements for titers and boosters)
- Drug testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (Aya requirement)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccine or declination form (vaccine must be after 9/12/2023; initial series not required, only preferred)
- References: 2 required, supervisor level or above, one within the last year
- Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps
- Work history verification for last 5 years

- No prior travel experience explicitly required
- Strong emphasis on compliance with facility-specific onboarding and training modules
- Candidate must complete various mandatory UCLA-specific training and sign required agreements prior to start
- Onboarding documents and certifications must be submitted timely to ensure access and ID issuance before start date
