Job Opportunity: PTA Home Health

Location

• Tucker, Georgia
• Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from home clinic
• Patient visits include both care facilities and patient homes

Employment Type

• Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hours)

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy assistant services in a home health setting
• Average patient load: 5-10 patients per day (approximately 6-8 points per day based on visit types and activities)
• Types of cases: Start of Care and Follow Ups
• No guaranteed hours; possibility to float to nearby clinics if patient census is low
• Use of EMR systems: HomeCare HomeBase, Oasis, Outlook, Point Care

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience working with adult patients in a home health setting
• Current BLS certification

On-Call and Weekend Requirements

• No on-call required for this position
• Weekend requirements vary; discuss during interview

Productivity Expectations

• Weekly productivity units: 32
• Expected travel: 30-40 miles per day, up to 200 miles per week

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks covering last 7 years, including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and state-specific searches
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test required
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunization or titer proof for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination required
• COVID-19 vaccination series or declination required
• Education verification for applicable degree
• Work history verification for at least last 2 employers or 7 years
• Two professional references required
• Various state-specific releases and fingerprinting as applicable

This position is ideal for experienced PTAs with recent adult home health experience seeking a travel contract in Georgia with a structured weekday schedule and patient-focused care in both home and facility settings.
